This is the 1st press.
A music video was made for the song "Live Wire".
Track listing shown is for the original Leathür Records release.
Re-released in 1982 on Elektra Records with a completely different mix and new track listing:
1. Live Wire
2. Come on and Dance
3. Public Enemy #1
5. Take Me to the Top
6. Piece of Your Action
7. Starry Eyes
8. Too Fast for Love
9. On with the Show
Total playing time: 33:56
The original version had three pressings. The first two had different bandshots. Vince Neil did not like how his hair looked in the original one, so they redid it. The colour of the album title is changed from white to red as well on the front cover.
The first pressing is 2000 copies on vinyl, while the second is 4000 on vinyl and 5000 on cassette. The third pressing (identical to the first two, except with a black record label) had 17000 vinyl copies in January, 1982.
The Elektra version is released on August 20th, 1982. The front cover is zoomed in onto Vince's crotch even more, and the packaging is also completely different.
"The head of A&R at Elektra, Kenny Batiste was furious that I had gone over his head and gotten permission from Joe Smith to sign the band. So he did everything he could to make my life difficult. We were originally just going to re-release the 'Too Fast for Love' album they had put out on their own, but Batiste convinced the label that the quality wasn't up to radio standards and the only way to put it out would be to remix it."
-Tom Zutaut from The Dirt (a Crüe bio)
The reissue on Mötley Records (1999) features four bonus tracks. "Toast of the Town", "Stick to Your Guns" and "Tonight" are unreleased songs, while the demo version of "Too Fast for Love" has an alternate intro.
Another reissue in 2003 (Hip-O Records) has all of the 1999 bonus tracks, plus:
10. Toast of the Town (Unreleased Track) (3:35)
11. Tonight (Unreleased Track) (4:27)
12. Too Fast for Love (Alternate Intro) (4:20)
13. Stick to Your Guns (Unreleased Track) (4:23)
14. Merry Go Round (live in San Antonio) (3:54), and a video for "Live Wire".
The original Leathür mix is featured on the 2003 Music to Crash Your Car To, Volume I four-disc box set.
Reissued by Eleven Seven Music on September 30th 2008 as the Crücial Crüe Edition remastered with the same bonus tracks as the 2003 reissue.
