Hiisi - in ancient Finish hiisi meant originally "the sacred forest" or "sacred place"
Later the meaning changed into "devil"
In the song "Väkirauta" it can mean both things. It's up to the listener!

Kanervala & Tapiola: The names for the forest kingdom where the god of the forest, Tapio, lives
