Dates of recording: February 10th and 15th, 1979.

Numerous versions of this album exist. It was originally released in the US and Europe as "Unleashed in the East" with 9 songs, and in Japan with 13, as "Priest in the East". The extra four songs were "Rock Forever", "Delivering the Goods", "Hell Bent for Leather", and "Starbreaker".

A 1979 British cassette version included 12 songs, including "Delivering the Goods", "Hell Bent for Leather", and "Beyond the Realms of Death", previously unavailable otherwise.

Another bootleg version, "The Ultimate Priest in the East" (shown), contains all 15 songs known to have been recorded on the two dates and fully produced, including "Evil Fantasies". This album was released on June 20th, 2000.

The official re-release, universally titled "Unleashed in the East", contains the 13 songs of the first Japanese pressing of "Priest in the East", and was released in 2001.

First 10.000 (stickered) copies of 1979 CBS UK edition of Unleashed in the East album contains free, while label "NOT FOR RE-SALE" 7" EP with 3 live tracks from the same tour: Rock Forever, Hell Bent For Leather and Beyond the Realms of Death. First two were also released on Japanese LP Priest in the East - Live in Japan (CBS/Sony, 1979), but BTROD remained unreleased elsewhere (except Dutch 12" from 1981 called here 'Rock Forever').

The set list for the nights recorded also contained White Heat, Red Hot and Take on the World, but these were not recorded.
