Drums and principal rhythm guitars parts for "Horror Show" were recorded in December 2000 at Morrisound Studios.
All additional recording done at "Schaffer Sound" Studios "in a dungeon somewhere in Indiana" in January 2001.
Mixed and Mastered at Morrisound Studios, Tampa, FL in late January-early February 2001.

On the limited digibook 2-CD version track 8 is "Frankenstein", track 9 is "Dracula", and track 10 is "The Phantom Opera Ghost". "Transylvania" (4:29; track # 1) appears on the second CD followed by an interview with Jon Schaffer (69:28; tracks # 2 - 7).

Also released as a Digipak (without the bonus CD).

Also released as a gatefold double-vinyl on colored wax, limited to 3,000 copies.

Almost all the songs on this album are based on classic horror films, and many of the lyrics are lifted directly from the source material. The chorus to "Wolf" is an adaptation of a poem that is recited in the 1941 film "The Wolf Man". The chorus to "Damien" is taken from the 1976 film "The Omen", and the spoken section is adapted from a speech in its 1981 sequel, "Omen III: The Final Conflict".
