All instruments on "This Time Around" are played by Jon Lord.
Recorded in 'Musicland' Studios, Munich, West Germany during 3rd August 1975 to 1st September 1975.

The only album with Tommy Bolin, brought in as replacement for Ritchie Blackmore (who had left for Rainbow). Deep Purple split for the first time following this release, and Bolin died of drug use the following year.

35th Anniversary Edition was released in november 2010, both 2CD and 2LP. First disc includes remastered versions the original album and "You Keep On Moving" single version. Second disc includes Kevin Shirley remixes of the album and two previously unreleased tracks.
