Recorded 2006-2007 on Darkthrone's own studio Necrohell II by Nocturno Culto.

The logo of the band Deathhammer appears on the leather jacket of the figure on the cover art.

The album comes in super jewel case packaging. The special Norwegian limited edition comes in a clambox and with an exclusive postcard set and poster. Also available exclusively from Peaceville is yet another limited edition with the same postcard set and poster and a "Fuck Off and Die" t-shirt. The LP version was released on October 22nd, 2007.

"F.O.A.D." stands for "Fuck Off and Die", which is also the title of the fifth song on the album.
