This album is usually referred to as either "Danzig IV" or "Danzig 4" but the actual name is "4p".

The CD version of "4p" is (un)officially "the most-stolen album of all time" due to its small packaging. Over 100,000 copies were reportedly stolen within six months of its release. The release of the album was delayed several months because the sleeve art wasn't ready. Chuck Biscuits had already left the band by the time it was released.

All songs written by Glenn Danzig.

"Invocation" is track 66. Tracks 13-65 are four second long bits of silence.
