Recording began on November 26, 2002 and finished in early January, 2003.
The album title came from a scene in the movie "Platoon".

The voice at the beginning of Power Trip is a trucker saying "he had god like power".
The studio was next to a highway and their equipment would sometimes pick up CB radio signals from trucks passing by.

* this is a re-recorded version from the song used during the credits of the Chimaira 'The Dehumnaizing Process' DVD.

'Army of Me' is a Björk cover taken from the 2003 'Freddy vs. Jason' soundtrack.
