From the Depths of Darkness is a re-recording of Varg's favourite tracks from the first two albums, Burzum and Det Som Engang Var. Burzum don't consider it to be a regular album, and listed it as compilation at their website.
Recorded at Grieghallen Studios in March 2010.
Released on the 25th of November 2011 in Norway, and on the 28th of November worldwide.
The artwork is basically a redrawn close-up of the gate on the cover of "Det Som Engang Var".
Dedicated to Pytten.
