From the Depths of Darkness is a re-recording of Varg's favourite tracks from the first two albums, Burzum and Det Som Engang Var. Burzum doesn't consider it to be a regular album, and listed it as compilation on their website.

Released on the 25th of November 2011 in Norway, and on the 28th of November worldwide.

The artwork is basically a redrawn close-up of the gate on the cover of "Det Som Engang Var".

Dedicated to Pytten.

Recording information:

Recorded at Grieghallen Studios in March 2010.
