"Aske" means "ashes".
The first two songs are "Side Hate" and the last one "Side Winter".
The English title of track 1 would be "The Voice from the Tower".
The building featured on the cover is the ruins of the Fantoft Church, a church allegedly burned by Vikernes in 1992 (although he was never convicted for this). Ironically, distributed by Deathlike Silence Productions/VOW, were lighters with the album cover printed on them.
The old title of the release was "Inn I Drømmens Slott" (Into the castle of dreams).
The few existing tape copies using this title were made by Varg and spread by him and Samoth, considering that the album was initially intended to be released on Varg personal label called "Burz-Nazg Prod" (later Cymophane). A copy was sent to Head Not Found, before the Deathlike Silence Prod. pressing.
Recorded August 1992 at Grieghallen Studios.
All music by Count Grishnackh.
"Dominus Sathanas" recorded April 1992.
