This album marks the beginning of Borknagar's transition to a more progressive-ish viking/black metal sound.

"Om Hundrede Aar Er Alting Glemt" is a song that Ivar dedicated to his father Bjørn. English translation: "In a Hundred Years All Is Forgotten".

Also released on Picture Disc LP, limited to 1,500 copies.

Re-released on Double LP Gatefold in 2010 by Back On Black. Limited edition on Grey vinyl.

A different version for the song "Ascension of Our Fathers" was released on the compilation "Darkness We Feel", released by Century Media in 1997. In this compilation, the song is called "The Quest".
