The artwork is taken from a book from 1988 called Rogue Trader while the title "Realm of Chaos: Slaves to Darkness" is the name of another Warhammer book inspired by Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000.
The original LP version had a gatefold sleeve and a huge booklet. Later pressings did not but included an insert.
Also released on limited edition coloured vinyl and picture disc.
Reissued in 1995.
Reissued in 2005 by Earache Records with alternate artwork. The band highly condemns this version and asked fans to boycott it, as they were not involved with the reissue and receive no royalties from its sales.
Reissued in 2013 as a limited edition pressed from the original master tapes in Full Dynamic Range audio with a bonus previously unreleased DVD performance filmed on three cameras from the legendary 1989 ‘Grindcrusher’ tour. More info about DVD bonus of 2013 issue, it is called "Live at Nottingham Rock City 14.11.89"
