Deep Tracts of Hell was Aura Noir's first album on Hammerheart, which they released in 1998. Only Aggressor and Apollyon appear as main members, with Sverre Dæhli (Audiopain) playing guitar on the song "Released Damnation". Blasphemer didn't play due to the fact that he was touring with Mayhem.
LP released with milky light green vinyl.
Re-released by Peaceville Records in 2012, included two bonus tracks: 'The Rape' and 'Mirage'. Available in jewel case CD and LP.
