Front cover image is The Last Judgement by John Martin (1789-1854).

Lyrics for "The Horla" based on the short story Le Horla by Guy de Maupassant (1887).

Released in the U.S. through Metal Blade Records.

Japanese edition bonus track:
9. Devil's Tower

Although these are all new recordings, some of the compositions date back to the very early days of Angel Witch.
An early live version of "Into the Dark" appears on "Sinister History".
"Guillotine" first appeared on "Frontal Assault" as "Rendezvous With the Blade ". (It also appears on '79-'80 live bootlegs).
"Devil's Tower" first appeared on the first demo, in 1978. It was later included on their debut album, too.
